As a Group Travel Specialist for Flight Centre I learnt quickly that I have a passion for working on the technically challenging itineraries and airfares for group travel. The more complicated the more enjoyable. Five hundred people into Queenstown from 8 different Australian cities in one day? No problem, the more challenging the better. I enjoyed the buzz of the initial planning process and problem solving to see what is available, providing detailed costs and itineraries. I enjoy negotiating and providing a competitive quotation with excellent service to my loyal clients. There is nothing I enjoy more than to speak to a group leader on their return from their trip to hear that all passengers arrived at all destinations with no hitches, it makes me very proud.
Considering being a group travel organiser? Being a group travel organiser can often mean that we can factor in your costs so that you travel with your group for free! If you have a group of ten friends, students, colleagues, associates, an event group or even random strangers who have an interest in travelling to the same location…….then let me know, let’s work on the idea and see what we can come up with. With group travel I can often negotiate more flexible airfare conditions, reduced rates at hotels, a discount on Travel Insurance and offer either a reduced airfare or a free spot (taxes to be paid by organiser). So if you have an idea to take your rock and roll friends to a festival in Nevada, a quilting tour of Budapest, your entire school wants to go Uluru or an event with 500 people……..look no further, I am your girl. Planning your group trip at least ten months in advance with give us better availability, therefore lower airfares.
